The Síndrome de Túnel Carpiano es una afección en la cual existe una presión excesiva en el nervio mediano.
This is the nerve in the wrist that allows sensation and movement to parts of the hand. The carpal tunnel syndrome may cause numbness, tingling, weakness, or muscle damage in the hand and fingers.
The treatment is conservative through physical means used in physiotherapy such as massage therapy for trigger points, lymphatic drainage or contrast baths in cases with edema, neuro meningeal mobilization of the median nerve, mobilization of cervical joints, shoulder, wrist, and strengthening exercises.
Other treatments include Electrotherapy: Ultrasound, Short Wave and TENS.
